Museum Hours
The Museum is open Tuesday through Friday, 11 am to 4 pm, and on Saturdays, 11 am to 4 pm, March 16, 2024 - October 19, 2023, at 11 am. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors. Members are free with a membership card.
Research Library Hours
Our private Research Library is open by appointment only; no walk-ins are allowed. Visit the Research tab to learn about and begin your research request.
Society Office Hours
The Historical Society office is available by appointment only; please call 815-923-2267.
The Museum and Offices are closed on New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
The McHenry County Historical Society has a wide array of volunteer opportunities available for those interested.
