Independants notch victory

The McHenry County "Independants" managed to outlast the Grayslake Athletics on Saturday, Aug. 26, in a rain-shortened match in Grayslake's Central Park. A hot start enabled the visitors to log a 5-4 victory. Huzzah! Thank you to those "kranks" who made the drive to cheer us on. Thanks to barrister Dave Oberg for his usual panache. And thanks to our worthy opponents for a hard-fought contest. Until we meet on the field next spring – Huzzah!
