The McHenry County "Independants" defeated the Lake County Athletics June 11 by a score of 16-5. Bats came alive at Prairie Grove Village Hall Park and defensively, the club hunkered down. Perhaps it was the new "throwback" jerseys that some team members purchased! Both teams will square off again at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, iat Central Park in Grayslake. To get there take Route 120 east to South Lake Avenue. Turn left and then take another left into Grayslake Central High School to park. Walk across the street to Central Park to find the ball field. The annual balloon festival follows.
